Discover Common Florida Wild Edibles at Curry Creek Preserve
Join Sarasota County Environmental Specialist Jeff Weber on an informative hike through Curry Creek Preserve, an urban natural area site, located at 1500 Pinebrook Rd., Venice in search of wild edible plants on Tuesday, January 13 from 9 – 11 a.m. Learn how to identify common wild edibles and how various parts of these plants can be prepared and eaten.

Natural Areas are Alive, even in the Dead of Winter!
On Friday, January 23 from 9 – 11 a.m., join Environmental Specialist Jeff Weber as he leads participants on an informative hike through Curry Creek Preserve’s varied habitats (located at 1500 Pinebrook Rd., Venice) looking for signs of wildlife activity, new plant growth and even wildflowers. January may be considered “The Dead of Winter” in many places, but here, winter is very much ALIVE!!
